The Wallace H. Johnson Group Home is a regional transitional group home for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. providing services to the Northwest region of Wyoming (Park, Big Horn, Washakie, and Hot Springs County). The Group Home offers a transitional program to assist people in strengthening or developing skills to live independently. The Group Home has 6 beds for men and women. The facility is staffed 24/7 with professional staff including a masters level therapist, case manager, psychiatric nurse, mental health technicians, and respite care aides. The program offers individual and group therapy, case management, individual and group skill building, and socialization and recreational opportunities for the clients in a supportive and comfortable setting. Skill building is available on daily living skills, managing mental illness, budgeting, communication, and many other skills. Case management is available to help with accessing resources in the community, obtaining employment or volunteer work, and to assist with housing. As with all services provided at YBHC, services are provided on a sliding scale fee or can be billed to Medicaid, Medicare, and other health insurance. Referrals from outside the region are accepted subject to availability of beds.
